Focus On Japan 2007Visit Japan, Meet Japanese People, and See How They Live!

Photography in Japan
This year The Japan Forum is introducing the all new Focus on Japan 2007 program. Following in the footsteps of our photo essay cafe and Deai programs, we'd like to give high school students from around the world a chance to visit Japan and produce their very own photo essays about the daily life of Japanese culture with the help of Japanese high school students.
The program is offered to all students enrolled in high school by August 1, 2007 and those graduating in June, July, or August 2007. There will be 8 overseas students selected to enroll in the program. Students will be placed in one of four locations-Miyagi, Tokyo, Osaka, or Hiroshima-and given nine days to work in collaboration with their Japanese peers to complete their photo essays.
Applications are available on TJF's website athttp://www.tjf.or.jp/focusonjapan/en/form/index.html.
The application deadline is February 1, 2007 (Japan time).
For more information, feel free to check out the Focus on Japan 2007 website at http://www.tjf.or.jp/focusonjapan/index_e.html.
If you think your students would like to have this sort of opportunity, tell them all about it! We look forward to receiving their applications and thank you for your continued support of TJF and its programs.
