Japanese schools and corporate punishment

Obviously, this is a bit of a take-off of Japanese schools. The idea is that the guys have to sit there and watch a stupid video which makes NO sense, without laughing at the idiotic English. If they laugh, they get hit! I actually think it says a lot about the way English is sometimes massacred in the Japanese system - and so many Japanese see it as a joke, rather than really seeing that they can do well at a foreign language! But they're forced to stay in class. What d'you reckon?
